Background History As a teenager, Steve's ability to excel in academics and apply himself to adult caliber hard work, followed by a years of working for the family business set the foundation for the likewise successful Amundsen Companies building company. Steve graduated from Ipswich, MA High School with honors, receiving an outstanding achievement award from the Stanley Tools Corporation for Excellence in The Industrial Arts. After school and during summer vacations, Steve worked in the building trade as well as his family's industrial equipment business. After several years of working in both trades he concentrated his efforts on the family business; responsibilities ranging from service to logistics and installation, operator training, sales and consulting. The machinery they serviced was complex and fundamental to their clients' companies operations. Steve developed a reputation as a dependable hard worker and problem solver. He was also fortunate to have had exposure to a great number of business owners and managers of companies both large and small, and serviced clients in the US and beyond. Early on Steve realized the value of taking all necessary measures to do the job properly the first time. "I learned the value of good service and how to work with people from all backgrounds and cultures." Approximately ten years ago Steve returned to construction full time.
